Applications are invited for the following position available from 1 October 2018:
Reporting to the Bursar
Assisting and working with the Bursar on the following matters:
Management of the school budget/finances on a daily basis; preparing the annual budget; liaising with senior management on financial matters; preparing the monthly financials; interaction with auditors, SARS (VAT) reporting; managing and assisting the debtors department with processing and account / parent queries; managing and assisting with the creditors department; expenditure control; cash flow management; procurement.
Preparation & management of staff salaries and contracts (with HR management support); Skills Development compliance; Employment Equity compliance.
Appropriate Insurance; development and reviewing of policies; serving on the policy and finance committee; NPO and NGO compliance; investment management.
At least a Bachelor’s degree in financial disciplines; experience in all or most of the above duties; excellent interpersonal, communication and interviewing and conflict resolution skills; lateral thinking; experience in office management and administration. Computer literacy and experience with accounting software packages and MS Excel are essential.
