Stakeholders and Communications Officer

R401 518.00 Total Cost to Company
The successful candidate will be based at Head Office and will be
responsible for the following:

• Prepare the annual action plan to facilitate stakeholder engagement
aligned to the Departmental Master Plan
• Develop stakeholder profile and stakeholder groupings in line with
business of Magalies Water
• Facilitate the Water Services Forums to promote interaction
between Magalies Water and key clients
• Represent the organization in the absence of the Manager at
international, national and local conferences and exhibitions
• Guide management and staff in stakeholder engagement issues
relating to the organization, incorporating events, exhibitions and
• Facilitate and coordinate organizational events to ensure brand
maximization and promote stakeholder partnerships
• Manage and frequently update the website content
• Support the Departments to attend to consumer complaints
• Liaise with clients to understand consumer satisfaction levels
through instruments such as consumer surveys, in conjunction
with the Customer Relations Department
• Draft press releases, write articles, write content for newsletters,
write notifications to stakeholders
• Manage projects within budget allocations and escalate budget
variances to the Manager
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on stakeholder relations
and communication matters for submission to the Manager for
Qualifications and Experience
• In order to be considered for appointment candidates must have at
least a B Degree in Marketing/Communications/Public Relations or
related NQF Level 7
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in communications or marketing
or media environment with exposure to advertising, event
coordination, public relations and stakeholder relations.
• PRISA accreditation is an added advantage
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good planning and organizing skills
• Sound problem solving and analytical skills
• Driver’s license is a pre-requisite
