ASSISTANT PAYROLL AND BENEFITS
ADMINISTRATION PROFESSIONAL
BASIC SALARY COMMENCING FROM R269 420 PER ANNUM
• REF NO: CS 54/18
Requirements:
• Grade 12 plus a relevant Diploma or Degree (candidates
with grade 12 maths or accounting subjects will be given preference) • Up
to 5 years’ relevant experience in an HR or Payroll environment • Computer
literacy • Working knowledge of SAP.
Key performance areas: • Render high level support service to the Payroll and Benefits Administration Professional, Line Management and the City of Cape Town • Liaise, advise and assist internal and external clients on payroll and benefits administration matters • Ensure that General Ledger Reconciliations are investigated thoroughly and cleared and advise on the implementation of appropriate interventions • Provide an effective and efficient payroll system to meet audit, legislative, policy, collective agreements and security standards in payroll cycle • Operate the Payroll Cycle and assess earnings, benefits and deductions • Ensure consistent application of organisational and time management policies and procedures that impact payroll • Monitor and identify employment and financial legislation changes impacting payroll and apply changes • Perform a supervisory function to payroll teams.
