ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

An exciting opportunity at African Independent awaits young talented candidates with a strong Administrative background to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • General office administrative duties (filing, photocopying, typing) 
  • Communication/liaison with internal and external stakeholders
  • Minute taking
  • Organising and scheduling of meetings and appointments
  • Maintaining a filing system
  • Monthly admin tasks
  • Preparation for board and project meetings
  • Coordinating meetings and events
  • Updating of social media
  • Ad hoc duties as required

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum qualification – grade 12 certificate
  • Tertiary qualification in a secretarial/administrative course
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience in an office/administration environment
  • Competent within Microsoft Office

   Required Competencies

  • Good communication skills - spoken and written English
  • Good interpersonal skills - be able to interact effectively at all levels
  • Good organisational skills
  • Meticulous and accurate
  • Ability to work with deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a team
