SENIOR OFFICER: FINANCE

  1. Relevant three years post matric qualification with Accounting
  2. At least three years relevant work experience
  3. High level of computer literacy (MS Package & Payroll)
  4. Sound knowledge of a financial system (Pastel or similar)
  5. Extensive understanding of GRAP and statutory legislation
  6. Excellent verbal communication and writing skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Managing accounting activities, including investments
  2. Prepare monthly financial reports
  3. Verify all the required controls and reconciliations of the bank, debtors’ and creditors’ departments
  4. Verify the transactions of the financial aid department
  5. Assisting the Manager with audits, compliance, monitoring & reporting
  6. Assisting the Manager with compilation and control of budget
  7. Management of staff
  8. Ad hoc finance tasks

RECOMMENDATIONS:

  1. Financial degree with Accounting
  2. At least five years relevant work experience
  3. Knowledge of TVET Sector

Permanent position subject to 12 months’ probation

R316 791 per annum plus benefits. Benefits include a thirteenth cheque. Membership of the Government Employees Pension Fund (GEPF) is compulsory. Employees may also be eligible to receive a Home owner’s housing allowance and the employer’s medical aid subsidy. Details regarding the fringe benefits are available on request.
