Business Unit: Marketing and Communication
Reports to: Marketing and Communication Executive
Salary: Market related salary and performance incentive
Job purpose: To undertake all duties, functions and responsibilities associated with the membership growth, stakeholder relations and membership retention and such other instructions, duties and responsibilities as may be allocated to the Business Development Specialist by the Marketing and Communication Executive and/or Principal Officer. To take responsibility to grow Scheme membership in line with set strategic objectives and activity plans.
Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities: Identification of growth opportunities - Development of new business pipeline - Implementation of the business development strategy plans - Reporting to management on progress relating to growth opportunities - Manage stakeholder relations within the distribution channel - Managing broker relations - Develop and improve initiatives for growth and business development
Minimum Qualifications/Certifications: Wealth Management and Financial Services Industry Qualification or equivalent - Industry Regulatory Qualification (RE)
Experience and Skills required: Minimum of 5 years in business development and marketing in the medical aid industry. Experienced in Communication, Relationship management, Presentation skills, Innovative thinking, Ability to negotiate; Resilient under pressure. Also experience in leading and supporting internal business processes in order to meet objectives.
